Hello guys, gals, and ghosts of all types. Welcome to Working Introvert! I’m Anne, and if you are anything like me then you know exactly what it is like when you want to go curl up in a dark and quiet space for the next 48 hours after dealing with people all day long.
An Extreme Introvert
I definitely consider myself to be an extreme introvert. I am the anti-social introvert. The kind of introvert that makes other introverts say, “She needs to get out more”.
I’ll be 29 in 2018, and besides family and coworkers I have exactly 1 friend. This is a friend that I hang out with about twice a month, and we go to the movies. You know, the kind of place that you can forget that you came with anyone for most of the duration. Yep, that is me.
My extreme form of introversion can make it almost unbearable to be in any type of workplace environment that isn’t home. I have worked in several jobs from warehouse work, to customer service, and I currently work as a daytime security guard, which is a lot of standing and small talk. I hate small talk.
Helping Others Like Me
So, here I am, trying to make a living on the internet that doesn’t involve me talking to a camera because even that gives me stage fright. I also want to share my successes, struggles, and failures so that other people like me can come along and not make the same mistakes I did.
The Goal of Working Introvert
I am here to make a community for other extreme introverts like me to share stories, vent, and just be able to be their extreme introverted selves, and maybe find something that we all love to do that does not require face to face interaction with anything but our computer screens.
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.
All the best,
